A 2411 is a remote TSL on the face of Mt Pearkes consisting of 2 Heli Blocks. This TSL has been previously awarded and during previous TSL, portions of both blocks were felled but not removed from site before the TSL ultimately expired. The detailed location map has been updated to reflect the cut area’s.
The majority of the felling occurred in 2022, accounting for an estimated 40 to 60% of the TSL volume. The net cruise volume indicates 22,383 cubic meters (m3) consisting of approximately 54% Hem+ Bal, 24% Cypress, 19% Douglas Fir and 2.6% Red Cedar with a net conifer piece size of 0.86 m3/log.
Prospective bidders are encouraged to review the entire BC bid package as this TSL will require significant effort to coordinate operations. The TSL Highlights provide important details not limited to the pending expiry of an active Licence of Occupation that has been identified as the most expedient way to acquire a dropzone for wood being removed from the TSL. Details include an option to transfer the existing Licence of Occupation that would be available if certain conditions are met before expiry.
