Description

The project will consist generally of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the supply of all necessary plant, labour, equipment, and materials to facilitate dredging the existing seabed to a depth of -10.1 metres, and relocation of an estimated 2780 cubic metres of sediment to adjacent designated areas within the harbour. A minimum depth of 8.5m below MLW is to be maintained at all times during the project. It is anticipated that all work will be completed from a barge or by other means as the existing dock along Piers 10 and 11 cannot be used.

Bids will be received up to 1500 hours local time, September 23rd, 2025, for the above-referenced project.

Plans, specifications, and tender documents can be obtained online through MERX, or by e-mail only through this e-mail address (lguy@sjpa-apsj.com) upon payment of a $50.00 (HST included) non-refundable fee. Tenders must be delivered to the Port Authority Office, located at 1 Water Street prior to the specified deadline. E-mailed bids will not be accepted. Tenderers are advised that only those contractors who have obtained the tender documents through the noted e-mail address or from MERX will be eligible to bid on this project. Plans and specifications may also be viewed at the St. John’s Office of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association.

The St. John’s Port Authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any, tender.
