2023-01 - Supply & Install of gravel crushed trail

The Summer Village of Birchcliff is requesting proposals from qualified construction companies to supply and install a 2.0-2.5 metre wide multi-use trail. The trail is located adjacent to the intersection of Birchway and Birchcliff Road intersection. In addition, the Village is seeking cost estimates for installation of a viewpoint platform and small bridge construction. The successful proponent shall have the capability and proficiency in all aspects of gravel trail and construction services.
The section of trail to be installed will be determined (see attached location map). It is preferred to construct a 2.5-metre-wide gravel crushed trail, if possible. It is mandatory for the proponent to view the site and propose alternate solutions for this section. The Village is seeking creative, cost-effective appropriate solutions and options to the development of this pathway, including the walking bridge and viewpoint platform construction.
The section of trail to be installed will be determined in the field by the contractor. It will also be the responsibility of the contractor to remove any trees, bush or large shrubs and remove from site and dispose.
The price will include the provision of all tools, materials, equipment, labour, transportation, supervision, removals, disposals, grass seed, management, overhead, traffic or pedestrian control, utility locates, to provide all services described.
Proponent to verify all measurements, volumes, lengths, or other determinant to their own satisfaction BEFORE submission of pricing.
