The National Payroll Institute’s (NPI) micro-credential series is designed to support continuous learning, skills recognition, and professional development in focused areas of payroll practice. The micro-credential format allows participants to upskill in high-demand topics through an engaging and practical learning experience.
Each micro-credential comprises four live virtual modules, each approximately 3.5 hours in duration, totaling 14 hours of instructional content.
The NPI is seeking proposals from qualified instructional design and subject matter experts to develop a new micro-credential program titled “Global Payroll Management”. This will be the second in NPI’s evolving micro-credential series, following the successful launch of the Human Resources Micro-Credential. It fits into the NPI’s Payroll Competency Framework supporting the career development of payroll professionals who wish to specialize in areas of opportunity within the payroll industry.
With more employees working remotely across borders, and a growing number of organizations taking on global payroll operations, managing multi-country payrolls introduces additional complexities. Education is important for payroll professionals to navigate these challenges and manage global teams effectively
The new Global Payroll Management micro-credential will be delivered virtually through a facilitator that is a subject matter expert and is designed to help payroll professionals understand the fundamentals and complexities of global payroll delivery and management. The program will initially be offered in English and will be translated and delivered in French after a successful pilot and English delivery.
